Trees of UCC - Take a Virtual Tour
Plant Scientist, Dr Eoin Lettice has curated a virtual tour of UCC's tree collection from our award-winning, green-flag campus. The tour takes place on Twitter and can be followed using the #UCCTrees hashtag.
Dating back to 1849, the university's tree collection is made up over 2,500 trees and 120 different species. Established as an arboretum - a living laboratory - by some of the university's earliest academics, you'll find out about some of the benefits of such urban trees as well as get up-close to a selection of the most iconic and interesting species. The tour is part of the UCC Open Arboretum Project, funded by UCC Green Campus. Join now on Twitter: @UCCTrees #UCCTrees
